This summer I interned downtown Chicago as a recruiting intern at GForce Life Sciences! GForce matches highly targeted consultants to executive’s needs throughout the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. GForce’s clients range from Fortune 500 companies to independent startups, all working together to meet modern day healthcare demands.

Since GForce is a smaller boutique firm, I was lucky enough to touch all sides of the company throughout my time as an intern; each day was a mixture of long- and short-term projects alongside formal training in addition to shadowing and hands-on work. This included learning about the core functions of recruiting, pharma industry, and systems and operations like Salesforce, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc. Something unique about my experience was that I was the only intern, which offered coaching and mentorship from the team.

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better internship experience than working at GForce! The opportunity to explore all different sides of the company from recruiting to sales, to finance and operations, has given me invaluable insight into my strengths and weaknesses as I venture into the workforce.
