Cop Beat March 14, 2006

Accident report- #0206 70635
On 12th and Kentucky, a vehicle struck and hit a park car while traveling westbound. The driver, 16-year-old Genevieve Rucker, was trying to avoid a northbound car and swerved and hit the parked car, pinning a pedestrian between two cars. The pedestrian, 58 year-old former Douglas County fireman ,Ted McFarlane, was airlifted to a Kansas City hospital due to serious injuries. Rucker is not suspected of using alcohol. In the car with her was an adult and a 15 year-old relative. The accident happened around 5:00pm on Sunday, March 12.
