Nineteenth and Louisiana is the most dangerous intersection in Lawrence. B-G Consultants, an engineering consulting firm, drafted a plan to fix the intersection, but it‘s up to the city commission to approve and fund it.

This intersection is a high priority on the capital improvements plan, officials say. When construction begins, expect the intersection to be closed for up to a year.
