Arson/Automobile Burglary Reported on Saturday, Feb. 11 in between 3:40-3:51 AM Victim: Matthew Britton (785)550-1186 (KU Student) Lives on/ happened at 1024 New York st. Officer observed two vehicles on fire near the alley: 1993 Infinity, damage appx. $3500 1996 Plymouth, dmg. appx $500 Suspect stole the following items out of the vehicles and then set them on fire: Clairon cd player $300 Backpack $20 The suspect was not apprehended There was another attempted arson involving a non-KU student at 1204 New York close to the same time.

Gretchen Kidd, ku student reported a Hewlett Packard Laptop stolen and valued at $800. $150 cash and a CD case w/100 cds valued at $800 were also stolen.

KU employee Jennifer Decker had her license plate stolen She lives at 1703 w 25th st, but it's unclear where in Lawrence it was stolen. Her number is 785-749-4406

Three KU students reported criminal damage at their residence at 2900 Bob Billing pkwy on 2/11 between. Incident occured between 1:30 AM and 8:30 AM. Graffiti was painted on their vehicles. Eric Benavidez: 2005 Dodge Neon $1000 Janet Irungu: Toyota Corolla $500 Wade Rundquist: '94 Explorer $550 Two trash dumpsters were painted on as well. This happened earlier this month at Aberdine apts, but there is no evidence showing that the incidents are related. There were no suspects.
