Richard C. Clarkson Gallery
The Richard C. Clarkson Gallery opened in Fall 2012 as a new and flexible gathering space for the journalism school's special events, guest lectures, receptions, open meetings, club activities and more.
The gallery was named for Richard C. Clarkson, who was the 2007 William Allen White Award recipient for excellence in journalism and a 1956 KU journalism graduate. Mr. Clarkson is a nationally known photojournalist whose career included photography for The National Geographic Society, The Denver Post, The Topeka Capital-Journal, Sports Illustrated, Time and Life, as well as seven summer and one winter Olympics. He was named one of the 50 most influential American photographers by American Photo magazine.
